A flaw was found in Hugging Face Accelerate. This path traversal vulnerability exists in the `load_checkpoint_in_model` and `load_checkpoint_and_dispatch` functions due to a failure to sanitize `weight_map` entries from sharded checkpoint indexes. An attacker can exploit this by supplying relative paths with `../` sequences or absolute paths, leading to the ability to read arbitrary files or cause a denial of service by pointing shard entries at named pipes.
