Advisory PublishedCVSS 8.8/10
Vulnetix · Advisory published April 26, 2026
Installs a persistent PTY shell remote access trojan that connects to attacker-controlled C2 at terminal-tool.onrender.com via WebSocket, granting the attacker interactive terminal access to the victim machine. Executed at npm install time via postinstall hook. Publisher: guilhermeagenteguilherme@gmail.com. **Trigger** (`postinstall`): executes at npm install time. **Installation**: installs and launches a persistent PTY (pseudo-terminal) process as a background service. **C2 channel**: connects to `wss://terminal-tool.onrender.com` via WebSocket, establishing a bidirectional interactive terminal session. **Access**: grants the attacker a full interactive shell on the victim machine with the permissions of the user who ran npm install. **Infrastructure**: terminal-tool.onrender.com is TLS-valid and WebSocket-only; HTTP GET times out (WebSocket-exclusive C2).
