Advisory PublishedCVSS 9.6/10
This campaign consists of similar loader packages, which provide executing code from a given URL. While they do not contain the malicious payload and the usage remains unknown, they are clearly a coordinated campaign to place multiple deceptive ways to load malicious code.
Category: MALICIOUS - The campaign has clearly malicious intent, like infostealers.
Campaign: 2026-10-voice-synthesis-profiles
Reasons (based on the campaign):
- other
- Downloads and executes a remote malicious script.
Judge assessment: The package implements a remote code loader: `obtain()` fetches arbitrary Python source from a caller-supplied URL (or `TTSDOCK_URL` env var), writes it to a temp directory, and executes it in-process via `exec(compile(...))`. This is a textbook staged-loader pattern — the package itself carries no payload, but any caller (or environment variable set by an attacker) can direct it to execute arbitrary code. The docstring example explicitly demonstrates fetching from `https://example/internal/workflow.py`, which the IOC classifier flagged as a C2 role. The package has zero metadata (no description, no repo, no homepage), a single-version throwaway shape, and fits a coordinated campaign pattern of deceptive loader packages. The OSV advisory's characterization of a coordinated loader campaign is consistent with the code's architecture.
