Advisory PublishedCVSS 8.8/10
This package is clearly an install-time credential stealer and exfiltrator aimed at npm developers and CI environments. The attacker model is a supply-chain compromise that harvests environment secrets, SSH keys, cloud creds, and git identity from the victim machine, then sends them to a webhook.site endpoint via a detached background process that outlives the install. The entrypoint in `index.js` deliberately bypasses sandbox detonation checks, reads `.ssh/id_rsa`, `.ssh/id_ed25519`, `.gitconfig`, `.aws/credentials`, `.env`, and `process.env`, and POSTs the collected bundle to a webhook.site endpoint. The `preinstall` and `postinstall` hooks in `package.json` ensure the code runs automatically on install, making the malicious intent unambiguous.
