This package is a downloader-and-launcher for a second-stage payload, consistent with a malware operator using a compromised npm package to seed execution on developer or CI machines. The entrypoint `index.js` immediately requires `./lib/telemetry` and `./_compat`, and `lib/telemetry.js` fetches remote content from `_SERVERS` and `_FALLBACK_DNS` before writing it to disk and executing it via detached `cmd.exe` or `/bin/sh`. The recovered exfil/C2 indicators `oob-worker.cf99-9b3.workers.dev` and `wel1.ru`, plus the startup persistence via `.profile`, show clear attacker intent to persist and stage a payload after installation. This is not a telemetry helper; it is a stealthy remote-code-delivery implant aimed at supply-chain compromise of npm consumers.
